Course Details

Your course training begins by completing the NAUI eLearning component. Once completed your instructor will coordinate a review which will either be inperson or virtual.
 

For courses that are taken with local training options, you will have the option of selecting various training dates to complete your open water dives. 

Local courses will list many training date opportunities, you do not need to attend them all. Your instructor will advise you of what dives are planned for specific dates. 
 

Fort those that take the Advanced course during one of our travel adventures, your scheduled dives will be provided as part of the trip itinerary. When traveling you should enroll in your Advanced Course as part of the travel package. Also note, during travel no equipment is provided for the course and should be either owned or can be rented at the destination.
 

For the Advanced Diver certification, you will complete a minimum of 6 open water dive. There are 3 types of dives which are required (Deep Dive +60', Night or Low Visibility Dive, & Navigation) and three which you can choose from a list of available options or discuss with your instructor. Examples of some of the elective dives include: photography, fish and reef identification, boat or shore diving, Nitrox diving, and many more.

The local dives are conducted at various training locations around the tri-state area. Lake Hydra will be one of the main training sites and has an entry fee of $60.00 per day which is not included in the course training fee. 
 

EQUIPMENT 

All students must provide their own mask, snorkel, fins and boots

The following equipment is provided for the students use as part of the course when completed locally:

• Scuba Unit which includes the BCD and Regulator set.
• Dive Computers
• Dive Compass
• Reels
• Lift bags and SMBs
• Dive Light
• Cameras 

The equipment listed above is an example of some of the most basic gear a diver should own. We do offer discounts for equipment purchased for courses, and we encourage trying out types of gear before making that purchase. 
 

Course Add Ons 

During your Advance Diver Certification Course you also have the option to include additional training at a reduced course cost. Note some add ons will require additional dives beyond the 6 for the Advanced Certification. Speak to your instructor if you have any Questions.
