Open Water Scuba Diver Pool Training
Just imagine where you will go! Begin your underwater explorations by enrolling in a NAUI Scuba Diver class. Take your first step to earning your certification. This is our entry-level certification course where you will learn the fundamental knowledge and skills to safety dive in open water. Certification is multi-step process, this course includes the academics, eLearning, and pool training. Open Water Certification dives are a separate class and are required to complete your full certification. Private Classes are available upon request. Includes eLearning and use of all equipment needed. Personal equipment can be purchased as well. Ask your instructor for options. Open Water Certification dives are not included in this portion of the class.

During your NAUI Scuba Diver class, you will learn about modern dive equipment, diving sciences, responsible diving practices and the environment. Diving skills will be taught and practiced first in the comfort and convenience of a confined water environment and finally during your open water training dives with your NAUI Instructor.
With Scuba Connection the total cost of your certification will vary depending on where you do your Open Water Certification Dives.
Prior to the start of your pool training you will meet with your instructor to go over the course and what you should expect. During this session your instructor will introduce you to the equipment you’ll be using and get you sized up so we know the equipment fits comfortably before you start. These meetings are typically scheduled to occur the week before your pool sessions start and are from 6:30PM to 8:30PM.
Classes will be held every Friday evening 6:00PM to 8:30PM and Sunday afternoons 11:00AM to 2:30PM.
Certification is a three step process
- Steps 1 and 2 (This course)
- Complete your E-Learning and classroom learning
- Complete your pool skills training
- Step 3 ( Separate course and enrollment required) complete your open water divers either locally or on one of our hosted trips.

All of our classes include E-learning materials and use of all scuba equipment.
When you meet with your instructor you’ll have the opportunity to select a scuba mask and snorkel which you get to keep. Your instructor will make sure your mask fits and will guide you on how to properly clean and care for your mask so your ready to go when you get to the pool.
